GIFTED - Games and Inclusion for Teacher Education

GIFTED is an EU-funded Erasmus+ project for gifted student education. Working as part of the team at Grifo Multimedia, our task was to create the project's official digital hub. The core challenge was to organize a vast amount of academic content from multiple European partners into an intuitive gamification platform for a diverse audience of educators, researchers, and policymakers.

My Role & Contributions

Within the Grifo Multimedia team, my role focused on key aspects of the design and development process. My primary contributions included:

  • Gamification Mechanics: Helped design the gamification mechanics applied in the platform.

  • Information Architecture: Helping to structure the site content for logical navigation.

  • UX/UI Design: Collaborating on the creation of a clean, professional, and responsive interface.

  • Content Strategy: Ensuring the project's educational resources were easy to find and access.

Solution & Impact

Our team developed a dynamic platform where educators can register for free to access specialized training. The final product features distinct learning paths that use storytelling to frame the educational content in a compelling narrative.

We integrated core gamification elements—such as visible progress bars and points for completing modules—to drive user motivation. Upon successful completion, learners earn a certified Open Badge containing verifiable metadata of their progress, providing them with a formal credential for their professional development. The platform successfully translates complex pedagogical theory into an interactive journey that is not only engaging but also professionally rewarding.
